Description of the levels A1–C1 according to Common European Framework of Languages (CEFL)

The preparatory German courses are aimed at participants who want to learn intensively and quickly German in order to prepare for studying at a German university or to take up work in Germany, or who want to improve their German.

  • 150 lessons live in school
  • 6 weeks
  • Monday till Friday, 5 lessons per day
  • 8:30-12:45 or 13:00-17:15 CET
  • final examination and certificate
  • 10-15 participants
  • 500 € per level/course

A1
Basic level 1

150 units | 500 €

6 weeks, Monday till Friday

The objective of level A2 is to consolidate the language skills learned in level A1. Distinctive skills – understanding, speaking, reading, writing – will be intensified and developed further, so that participants will be perfectly prepared for level B1.

A2
Basic level 2

The objective of level A2 is to consolidate the language skills learned in level A1. Distinctive skills – understanding, speaking, reading, writing – will be intensified and developed further, so that participants will be perfectly prepared for level B1.

B1
Intermediate level 1

150 units | 500 €

6 weeks, Monday till Friday

This class centers on the enhancement of an elevated level of everyday speech. The abilities understanding, speaking, reading, writing will be intensified and developed further with the aid of different learning techniques.

B2
Intermediate level 2

150 units | 500 €

6 weeks, Monday till Friday

In level B2 scientific language will be more and more the focus of attention. The understand of complex texts about concrete and abstract topics is one of the goals of the class.

C1
Advanced academic level

150 units | 500 €

6 weeks, Monday till Friday

For academic studies at a German university the passing of a German language examination for university admission is mandatory (telc C1 Hochschule, DSH, TestDaF). The objective of the class is a profound preparation for these tests.
